Instructors

Professor Alex Chobani
Professor Chobani is TMCC's full-time Motion Graphics instructor. She studied at UNLV before she decided to settle down and teach here in Reno. Her passion is having the ability to teach GAMT students her secrets to motion and digital video production, instructing most of the lower and upper Motion Graphics track courses. Notably, she's known for talking extensively about her four cats, and bringing in baked goods every Wednesday and Thursday.

Professor Daria Hernandez
Professor Hernandez has been teaching Graphic Design for over 25 years, with 12 of them being here at TMCC. She studied abroad in England back in the 90's, where she obtained her Master's degree in Graphic Communications. Hernandez also primarily teaches most of the lower Graphic Design track and required classes for the GAMT degrees. She once fought a raccoon over a piece of printer paper during class, and if you ask her nicely, she might recite the entire script from Napoleon Dynamite to you.

Professor Calvin Roberts
Professor Roberts is TMCC's beloved Visual Media instructor, who's been teaching at our college for over 8 years. He's originally from Miami, Florida, which is where he first began his art career and his instruction at a local community college. He also teaches the animation classes and upper level digital production classes in the GAMT program. Roberts is a pretty laid back and chill dude, and swears he met Kylie Jenner at a gas station somewhere in Montana.

Professor Erik Sharma
Professor Sharma is TMCC's newest full-time instructor, who teaches some of the Graphic Design track GAMT courses. He got his education from UNR and UCLA, and previously taught high school for 3 years locally at Reno high. He's originally from Los Angeles, but moved to Reno for better job opportunities. His hobbies include crocheting and creating ceramic vases, and has an extensive collection of model trains.
