Grace Larkins, AKA Grace Gatsby, is a Reno, Nevada-based graphic designer, artist, and singer/songwriter. Raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Grace began playing piano, guitar, and clarinet at an early age. In her teens she trained as a classical soprano and sang in a folk band with her dad. At 19 she moved to Southern California, where she studied vocal technique and guitar at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood.
In 2003 she fell in love with the culture and natural landscape of Reno on a visit. After making Nevada her home, she immersed herself in the rich arts community. Grace worked at the Reno Philharmonic for six years, managing five music education programs and three youth orchestras, reaching approximately 30,000 youth annually. She is former Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Holland Project, an all-ages art and music initiative. In 2009 she sat on the City of Reno Cultural Master Plan Committee for Arts Education. In 2012 she was awarded Special Recognition in the Graphic Design category of the Truckee Meadow Community College's 38th Annual Student Art & Design Exhibition.
Grace was awarded a Nevada Arts Council 2013 Artist Fellowship for Performing Arts, vocals. Her debut solo album, 'Strange Attractors' is set for release as part of Artown's 2017 opening night.
