Project 03 final

Post by jacklyn_yamine »

Here is the link to my final project three. I can't believe I was able to pull this off and am very proud of how it looks. I am still working on getting it to be more responsive, there is one section that I just can't seem to get it into position to be responsive or even liquid enough to not go crazy after I make the screen even one pixel smaller, but I did make sure that it looked good on a large laptop screen size as well as mobile.

Hi Jacklyn!

Wow... I am literally speechless this is such a well done and polished website! I find it hard to come up with any suggestions or critiques everything down to the semi-transparent header to the layout to the responsive design this is just such a beautiful website! Really, really excellent job on this!

Hi Jacklyn,
This turned out so great! I really love the design you choose for this, the layout is easy to navigate and pleasing to look at, and it looks very professional. One thing I would suggest changing is adding a bit more pink throughout the page. For example, the About Us page may be making the subheadings pink to add a little more contrast and to stick with your color palette of pink, white, and black. Other than that, you did a great job in executing this project!

Hi Jacklyn,

HOLY COW. This website is absolutely crazy!! There is so much information on your website and it is so easy to read and navigate. It gives me the feel of an actual website and now I want to order a cupcake. The only thing I could change is the font, it seems a little simple but it does not hinder the function of the website at all! Overall this is so awesome!

Wow, you've got yourself a very professional looking set of stovepipe pages here, Jacklyn. These are looking really nice. You even spelled everything in your bodycopy Canadian-style, eh?

Great photo selections throughout. They make me hungry just looking at them. And the ones that aren't just food porn summarize and expand upon the page content. Nicely selected. Good use of the company's colors throughout, too. You took the branding established in the logo and ran with it. The colors make for a great contrast. Your layout is a textbook stovepipe. Really easy to get through and pull information from. Super clean too. Reminds me of what the shop must look like. Great use of transparency throughout your design. Adds a lot of visual interest to it. Good use of a fixed menu up at the top. It's just transparent enough that you can see what's going on through it. Your navigation is easy to see and use. The whole layout's liquid, if not responsive.

I don't know that the fixed transparent top menu had to be quite THAT deep. Got some text overlap on your "Hours of Operation" column on your pink footer. Looking at it now, I think it would have been a little better with a sans-serif bodycopy.

Great work! Now I'm going to go find myself a cupcake.

wow this is super impressive. It looks like every pages on this website is working and has a good amount of content to it. You have added photos in all the right places and everything looks like it is in the spot where it is supposed to be! The pink hover on the navigation is spot on and the font choice is easy to read as well. Your footer is beautiful too. I had a lot of difficulty with positioning on my website so this makes me so happy to look at. This looks wonderful in all ways!

Hello Jacklyn,

Amazing website, you did an amazing job building the website. You were able to make all the contact very responsive and program the mobile layout as well, this must of been a lot of work so great job. One thing I suggest is with you body text, maybe up the leading bit more on the contact page. It some seem to be the same as the others.

Hello Jacklyn,
WOW! I thought this was an actual website. This looks so good! It is easy to see the amount of time and effort you put into this project! This website is very easy to navigate, read, and "buy" cupcakes from. The only thing I see is the hours of operation text overlaps each other, but other than this small fix, everything works great. Amazing job!
