Re: project 03 prelims
Both concepts look quite similar to each other, but I like the one with the white background because it allows the purple to pop out more. Overall, awesome work!

Both designs look pretty nice! Im attracted more to the one with the white background because you have more contrast amongst the colors. The mobile homepage looks a little weird with the picture in the header. It just drags it down and makes the header look distorted. Also a nice center align in your nav bar will make it look a little cleaner. The layout of all the text and images look really good. Great work!

Hi there,
Both designs are coming along nicely! I think the one with the white background looks good. I would just play around with the spacing a little more. Perhaps set it up on a grid and line it up/space it evenly to make it flow?

Hi Charmaine,
Nice designs! The green and purples look good together, and I like the combining of font styles to create a contrast. I think some of the text need larger margins around them.
Nicely done!

I really like the one with the purple background because overall the composition of it looks better placed.
You did a really nice job on both!

Hi Charmaine!
I think there's nice things to both sets- I think the consistent frame size of the pictures on your white bg version is nicer because it feels more consistent, but I also like the desktop home page with the purple bg, the layout is more organized and I think the side navigation bar is more fun!

Well, it certainly is purple!
I like your design "1"s better. The layout is cleaner, the navigation is easier to find, and the margins are qualitatively better. I also like the page layouts better. They're sturdy,m easy to read, multi-column layouts. Good color choices. The purple, white, and black work well together as expected. What surprises me though is the dark teal, though. That one's the real MVP. It work well with everything. Good choice on the serif type. It fits with the business and works well. I like the italicized subheads. They really break up the bodycopy nicely. Your navigation is easy to see and use. I like the pacemnt of the logo at the bottom. It's an interesting visual placement and turns the logo into more of an accent. That works because of the great photo selection and the look and feel of the rest of the website. Effectively, your website becomes your logo. A fascinating and rather risky choice that pays off here.
Widen your navigation bar on both the computer and the mobile design. There shouldn't be any two line buttons. While you're there, make the navigation the same font you used for your page title. Increase the distance between the bodycopy paragraphs and the italicized subheads. The only thing I'd bring over from the "2" designs is the contrast. The "2" designs own the "1" designs in terms of contrast. Make your content area white, like you did there. It will improve the look of the "1" design immensely. Watch the right margin of the paragraph under "The Purple Avocado" on your inner page. It's getting too close to the photo.
Good work.

Re: project 03 prelims
Hey Charmaine,
Cute redesigns! Purple is one of my favorite colors, so I like both of these already purely from color choice alone!
I like the contrast going on in the 2nd version. I definitely think the cool logo image pops out way more on this version.
However, I do think the overall placement and flow of our design works better in your 1st version.
Interested to see which one you'll move forward with! Nice Work!

Sooo much purple, lol. I like your second design the layout seems better than your first design.
