Both are really good, I think I'm leaning more towards the second one since it has more of the old western feel to it.

I love both layouts! The body text is a little small on both layouts. The second layout is easier to read but either layout will turn out great!

Both designs are GREAT! I am leaning towards the first design though, for the fact you incorporated riders in the center of Virginia City. I think that's what people think about when they see a town like that...going back in time. I also like the map on the second page, a real old-time western feel!! Awesome job!

Both are beautiful, I love the use of the old west elements, it really pulls things together and you know what you are looking at immediately.
I would go for the second one, it has a certain something, maybe just more simplistic? I like it better if that counts for anything!
