I have made a few of the suggested changes from my last post and combined some of the elements. Here is the first version:

I like the second of your two new designs. The tan paper and lighter logo go well with the wood background. It really brings out the warmth and "hominess" of the design. I'd take the font size down on the footer by two character sizes at least and move the center text down slightly to give the paper some room to breathe. I'd also look at centering the date and designed by text and separating them with a vertical line. Other than that, they look good.
