I really like both designs, but I'm leaning more towards the second one. I think the purple on the gradient could be a little darker, it would make the white text pop and easier to read. I really like the photo you used as well, I think a black to purple gradient would work a little better it would blend in with the photo and would naturally direct the eyes to your body paragraph. nice work!

I really liked your first design the most. I feel as though it would be simple and fast to navigate through your site. I also enjoyed the simplistic colors that you used in a non simplistic way. Good job
