Holy crap, both of your designs are incredible! They are so unique, I can't stop looking at either one! I think your second one is leaning towards the best one for me, I love the placement of your text and I really like the leading lines of the photo. I think it'd be cool to play around with similar fonts us your title for your body copy too!

Both look amazing, but I think how well you brought together the person and the painting together nake the second design the best between the two. I think stead of the white button, I think it would work well with it just being larger bold text for your navigation.

I really like how professional your second design is. It looks like what yale should be going for. I like how you incorporated their colors into your design so well. I would through in the yale logo just to really push that it's associated with the college. Overall I think you nailed the designs, I would just go with the second one since it's a bit more profesh.
