I designed a website a couple of years back, after being inspired by GRC109. http://palettepal.com explores the html tag hsla and its uses in developing color palettes. After logging in with your gmail account click on the "Read Me First" button.

Both are well done. Either one gets the job done. I really don't have a feel for either Alaska, farming, or how the two relate, but your site looks serious enough so that if I couldn't find the info I was looking for I would certainly feel like I could contact you and get an answer.

You say you have the largest selection. You need to say HOW MANY DIFFERENT KINDS and from WHERE. Pictures of your wares doesn't mean you have that currently in stock. I also want to know what's new. And what's on sale. Price range. And a bleeding map.

The one with JUST the ballet shoes. It's a picture that says DANCE, and you have a list of class times. Informative, which is what websites should be. A pretty website does nothing if it doesn't INFORM you first.

Last one, definitely. You could remove all but the two menus on the left, leave the major header links. The description is good but it's a little too large - grabs too much attention - I think the kids are calling hierarchy these days. You could probably throw in some equations that reflect the type...

2nd one. You actually say you're a bookstore, you have something new on the front page, AND you have a picture of the building. You don't clutter up the page with PICTURES of books. A++
