GRC 175 Learning and Discussion Forum

Both are nicely designed. They have the feel of a website that is fully responsive, something I've though very little about in my designs. They have a winter whimsy that almost makes me want to go out in the snow.

While both designs are pleasant, your first layout is working better for me because the type is easier to read. If you adjusted the type of the second layout I'd prefer that one because the pictures of food are bigger.

Bolth layouts are warm and welcoming. The second one has more pictures and makes me more hungry so I would go with the second one because it has more pictures and makes me the hungriest.

I agree with the aforementioned nature comments. The images you have are so vibrant and inviting. They work best as the dominant element of the page against the grey background.

While both designs have a natural, healthy feel to them, the first design works better for me. It feels more inviting yet professional. The only issue I have with it is the resolution of the picture on page 2, and, like Lauren said, the huge amount of text.

The second design works much better for me. All of the red in the first design makes me uncomfortable and makes it look like there's a bunch of ads. The lower opacity mountains of the second design also works better for me. That guy looks like NPH.

Your first design is solid. The only thing I would change is the value of 'Por Favor.' It gets a little lost at it's current value.

Use the first one. Stuff on fire is always interesting. I've never read any of her books and I think I've seen 2.5 of the 4 movies based on her famous series but she'd definitely like the first one the most.

I'm so glad you chose this photo. It's so thought provoking and I love the symmetry of it and the symmetry of your layout. The text is definitely easier to read and the colors work well.
