Re: Website for my other class...
The book is annoying.... but it fulfills a degree requirement, so.... So far the only javascript I've learned was in the last couple chapters, mostly the last one. (Some DHTML but mostly AJAX) Which is really just how JS integrates with other tech. ;) You are not the only person to say that about th...

Re: Project 2 - Larry Rubald
i love the design and the colors. it's just a little thing, but when going between pages, the site shifts a little bit, could just be my browser though.... It's because some pages are only as long as the browser window, and some are longer. So on the longer one's, the scroll bar pops up making the ...

Re: problem from last class
I missed last class, so I'm not positive if I'm understanding the problem, but I think I know what you were trying to do. The solution you want is z-index and position in CSS I believe. For instance, my project 2 has the logo overlap the nav bar, and that's what I used. Remember, the parent containe...

Re: Question
Suites are numbered just as many different ways as apartments really. The only difference is sometimes apartments have high numbers like 200+, and suites rarely do. A hash mark (#) works just as well. The post office will deliver it either way - though it's true it's not your "standard" ad...
Re: Question

Re: Need help coming up with a name for a site
I would advise staying away from cliche stuff like "dragon" and "sanctum" for the most part. Too cliche. Also, no LOTR references. Just sayin'. That said, geeks tend to like wit and pop culture references that nobody else gets. Maybe something along those lines? Or perhaps just g...

Website for my other class...
So, I'm also taking CIT 152, which is a web scripting class (mostly javascript). And I finally got around to having some time to put together an actual design for it (I don't want to talk about the 5 minute monstrosity I originally built) and I was wondering if you artistic types would be so kind as...
