Re: Project 1 preliminary designs
Hi Cassie, Your image and use of asymmetrical balance in your second design are very eye catching! I enjoy the contrast between the grays and blacks with the CMYK coloration of your text. However, I would suggest lightening your foreground image as it makes the entire piece feel too dark. Great job ...

Re: project one
Hi Julian, Despite me being a forest person, I would choose your second design. It has a very professional, almost portfolio feel to it that the first does not hold. I would suggest increasing the size of your body copy and moving it up so that it fits better into your design. Great job and I can't ...

Re: Aries Project 1
Hi Aries, Both of your designs are visually interesting and have awesome choices in color, font, and shape. I would choose your first design since it feels better contained and laid out (the amount of text in your second design is a bit overwhelming). I would suggest either changing the color of the...

Re: Project 1 Roughs
Hello darlin'! I really enjoy both of your designs. The bright colors accompanied by your whimsical choice in font create a friendly, happy-go-lucky vibe for your webpage. Not to mention your wonderful character design! I would suggest changing the font in your body copy to sans serif for legibility...

Re: Project One Critique _Lea
Hi Lea, Even though it breaks my heart (because I absolutely love cats), I would choose your first design. Your color scheme works well with your interstellar background and makes your text easy to read. I would suggest that you find a different, expressive font to liven the page and make the text m...

Re: Meow (That's cat speak for "Here's my work")
Hi Darian, Gosh, I just LOVE your first image. The way it disintegrates into the white of the page is so satisfying and wonderfully rendered. Suffice it to say that I'd choose your first design. There isn't much I would change except for changing your paragraphs from left align to left justified, ju...

Re: Project 1-Preliminary
Hi Kyler, You have some great ideas here and I feel like your second design may yield more results. I am like the office/work table vibe as well as the photoshopped pencils and taped on images. However, I would move your body text elsewhere since it is making the design top heavy, and find a new pla...

Re: Project 1 Preliminary Roughs
Hi Kristianna, Your first design stands out to me most. I like the formal, clean feel that it gives off. Your use of monochromatic colors accompanied with the off white and light grays creates nice contrast. I would decrease the amount of type that you have on the page since it is pretty overwhelmin...

Re: project 1-preliminary critique
Hi Marco, I'm really drawn to your second design. The stark white background with the breezy splash of color works nicely and stands out great. I would try to make the image bigger as well as set your type to left justified so that it ties in neatly. Great job and I can't wait to see the finished pr...

Re: Preliminary Critique
Hi Brianna, I'm really loving your second design! The diamond shapes combined with such vivid colors remind me of gemstones. That combined with your use of a pastel background helps make the shapes stand out. However, I would change the color of the text within the diamonds as it is a bit difficult ...
