I think your style guide could be on YOUR homepage, not hers. But that aside, I see why you pulled in the gray for rollovers, but it kinda dissapears on the red. Maybe a lighter gray would work better? but the layout is very easy to navigate and thats always a plus!

I dont love your scrolling bar, Id rather your page just be longer? It would fit on most screens now days. It also needs some color somewhere, maybe a banner of some sorts? but better that your first draft for sure.

I agree with kyle, the kids are fun and cute, I would love to actually see them on your index page as well. It adds some ummmphh to it.

I think you should have centered it but I like that you added food! good choice.

I like the wood, I dont love the drop shadow on the footer text. I think it would look fine flat. Also with the menu bar and then your photos also sort of being a menu bar its a bit redundant and probably not needed. But again the wood looks nice and the color scheme is nice. I like the slideshow......
