Re: Project 1 Final Design
Hi Sarah, I like that you included some past work with the character that you created. The style of your character, however is clashing with the style of your design. I wouldn't change the character though, that seems more like your style. Maybe change the style of the site to fit more with your cha...

Re: Project 1 Final
Hi Grace, Nice job! I usually don't like the colors but they're working really well here. The photo is a good choice, all the movement makes my eye move all over the page. The only thing is that the two light spots at the bottom are distracting, I keep stopping there. Maybe darken those up a little,...

Re: final_rough
Hi Elizabeth, I really like how fun your design is, and I like how the bubbly font is working with the image. I would work on your navigation a little. Maybe get rid of the drop shadow, or at least make it much smaller, and you don't need the slashes. If the shadow is smaller, the words should be ab...

Re: Final Design Project 1
Hi Ivor, I really like how you've built upon what you had for your prelim. The addition of little bits of more color are working well for me. I have to agree with Michael, there's something about your body copy that just isn't right. Almost every paragraph ends with one word alone on a line. Maybe y...

Re: Project 1 - Final Design EG
Hey Eduardo, I'm happy to see you went with this design, I really think it was the stronger of the two from the prelims and you made it even better. The two places I think can use some more work are the header and footer. It seems like you're showcasing the class where you should be showcasing you! ...

Re: proj_1_homepage_final
Hi Kevin, This is a great step up from before, you've shown a great improvement from the roughs. I'm enjoying the swirly font you've chosen for your name and nav bar, but the two fonts clash a bit. Have you considered a simple sans sarif for your body copy? You also mentioned that you're not happy w...

Re: Project 1 Final
Hi Michele, I think you made a good choice going with this design. Your color choices work well together and you're on the right track. I'm having a hard time with the Marienda. It's possible that if you just make it a little smaller it could work better, that also might help with the issue of the a...

Project One Final
Hi Everyone! I decided to go with my self portrait for my final design. I didn't make a ton of changes other than the one thing many of you commented on. I made my navigation slightly larger and bolder, and I moved the "recommended reading" up. I'll probably just have that as a link as tim...

Re: Project 1 Critique
Hi Courtney,
I like the second design the best of the two. I think the monochromatic color choices work better than the primary colors of the first design. Some recommendations I would make: Make the spacing of the navigation equal distances, and think about taking out one or two of your fonts.

Re: project 1 Jared Harper
Hi Jared, I like the first design better. I think the airplane flying at the viewer gives a nice sense of movement. I also like the opposing vertical lines, it gives it kind of an anxious feeling. I might consider changing the photo to something that feels less like standing in line, it might mellow...
