Re: project3 David Bjerre
I like the navigation and how you did the hover state. I think the paper background is a bit stong but I like the overall feel of the site.

Re: Project 3 - Larry Rubald
I like the logo you did. I also like how you layed out your navigation with the two diff columns. Good overall layout and theme, I definently get the theme of what the grc program has to offer.

Re: Project 3 for Arlene Williams
Im not sure you need the home page at all, I think the rest of your site is stroger without it there. I like how you layed everything out and divided up the content. Your background has some bad banding going on but overall I think its a strong site.

Yeah if you scroll down a bit and then change it does do a weird flash for some reason. Not sure what it even is so don't know how to fix it.

Project 3 - Kyle Smith
Here is my final design for project three. I played around with jQuery and bit and had some fun with my redesign. For the instructor page the white boxes are where the photos would go but I couldnt' find any decent photos of them. http://grc175.com/student/fall_2011/kyle_smith/grc/ style guide, need...

Re: Project 3
While that is an easy fix for your problem it puts me back to like the 1990s with the aesthetic look of it. I'm not sure how serious you are about learning good coding or web design but there are much better alternatives to that with open source libraries and plug-ins such as jQuery. For instance I ...

Re: Final Project for Brie Porterfield
I think the overall look of your site is unique and quite cool. I think your contrast between your type and background couild be better. The only other thing I would suggest is to think more about the order you placed your navigation buttons in. Normally I would expect to see the overview first then...

Re: Project 3
Couple things I noticed as I look at your site as well from a typography stand point. I think you hierarchies are a bit messed up. For instance your navigation text is smaller than your regular body copy. I don't like how the only serif font is your navigation when everything else is sans serif. I'm...

I think they are equally strong but I think the first one could be stronger if you added the lighting effects like you have done in the second one. Also it might be a cool idea if you included transparency with the blue box your content is on so you could see the neon lines when they go behing it.

Re: Website for my other class...
That class is a waste of time and money. I took it for a month and couldn't stand it anymore. The book is 3-4 years old... nuff said. I learned more javascript with a 25$ subscription to lynda.com than I ever did or would have done in that class. Seriously I think most of the cit classes are garbo w...
