I think the layout works really well for all the designs. What I find difficult to comprehend is the subject matter. There isn't anything that jumps out and says the quality of nature. perhaps some additional images will help.

Both designs work well in terms of color scheme, layout, images, and grasping the subject matter. You can go with either one (top preferably). I think you're headed in the right direction and there is nothing for me to tell you to improve on.

JulianEmme, The second web-page works better. The color scheme works along with the layout and images. The one thing to change is, because the second page is heavy with white you can make "yale" on the front page white to have a stronger unification and it will help with contrast. Jose Mac...

I think you can go with either one; they are both fun and colorful. The one thing to include is adding a texture to your background because it is really flat.

The second rough is the one to go with, it is laid out better and the silhouette works really well with the headline. The one thing to change is: for the to images you can put it through photoshop and remove the background then place it on the web-page and enlarge it.

The first one is more professional looking so I think that's the one to go with. One one thing to consider changing is the color for "school of art, yale", it competes too much with shield.

The top design works a lot better than the bottom. The grayscale image works really well with the limited orange color. The only thing to change would be the type style it doesn't severe any justice in terms of capturing the subject matter of the website.

The blue one seems to work better. What I think it needs is a stronger level of hierarchy and a third color because it's flat with two colors and nothing is emphasized.

I'd go with the second rough. It is easy to grasp the subject matter and the layout works well along with the color choices. The only things to change is the links because they are not sized correctly and the type is crammed. Also the headline needs contrast adjustments.

I like them sleek web-page better, it reads more like a website than the other design. The one thing to include is adding an image that matches the color scheme.
